Annual Conservatory Training Program
A focused, year-round training program that develops strong technique, artistry, and confidence while preparing dancers for meaningful performance opportunities in our December Production.
The Summer Intensive: Literature in Motion is a focused, short-term training program designed for both Academy and guest dancers seeking an immersive introduction to The Snows of Khione Ballet Academy’s distinctive methodology. Rooted in classical technique and narrative development, the program integrates ballet, music, and storytelling to cultivate both technical precision and artistic depth.
Dancers participate in structured weekly training that emphasizes strong classical foundations, musicality, and the use of movement as a narrative language. Through original choreography created exclusively for the intensive, students explore character, emotion, and storytelling within a disciplined and collaborative environment. The program culminates in an end-of-session showing, where dancers present developed work in a performance setting aligned with the Academy’s standards—thoughtful, intentional, and artistically driven, rather than a traditional recital.
The Summer Intensive also serves as an introduction to the Academy’s training philosophy and performance pipeline, offering select participants the opportunity to be considered for future programs, including the December Production.
Literature in motion. Tradition reimagined.
Our annual Snows of Khione Performance, held on the second Saturday of December, presents a 40-minute original ballet production transforming literature into live performance. Blending classical technique with narrative choreography, the production showcases emerging and world-class talent in a setting that honors tradition while embracing innovation. This performance serves as both a cultural event and an artistic debut platform—introducing audiences to exceptional dancers at the threshold of distinguished careers.
THE BOOKS + MUSIC - The Naida Saga Book Soundtrack is the first of its kind—an original literary soundtrack created by author and producer Lisa K. Stephenson, redefining how stories are experienced beyond the page.
The Snows of Khione Ballet Academy is designed for serious dancers, families seeking structured and intentional training, and students who value discipline, credibility, and opportunity. Whether preparing for advanced study or exploring the art of ballet in a focused setting, our program provides a clear path toward growth and performance.
